Currently, we are a congregation made up of about 225 members ranging from children to mature adults. We offer meaningful activities for all ages. Our ministry mission statement is, "We exist to teach the gospel; train up leaders; and transform communities."
In April 2021, Hope In Christ Community Church (HICCC) celebrated its 76th church anniversary. During the years, HICCC has witnessed and supported the changing demographic of its surrounding community. We have been blessed to serve as a place of worship and fellowship for our neighbors, including Caucasian, Latino, Native American, and African American community members. This dynamic evolution of our community has allowed HICCC to stay relevant and make an indelible impact on our community in meaningful ways. Our mantra is “Bringing Unity to our Community.”
We have witnessed first-hand a gradual transformation of our neighborhood as a result of our direct community engagement. HICCC members are stepping up to meet the needs of our community. Whether painting a neighbor’s house, mentoring a youth, hosting community meetings to address pressing social issues, hosting food and clothing give-a-ways, supporting youth through our sports ministry, HICCC remains on the frontline of community engagement.
Lastly, at HICCC we are intentional in our efforts to model the spirit of Jesus’ “Great Commission,” which is to produce disciples (followers) of Him according to Matthew 28:18-20. In doing so, our emphasis is “outside” the walls of the church, not on ourselves. We are not blind to the fact that people are hurting and suffering from various challenges including: addiction, job loss, homelessness, family discord, unhealthy relationships, domestic violence, emotional abuse, loneliness, and Covid-19.
We aim to help and support the hopeless and helpless. Because of God’s grace and mercy there is no need to suffer in silence. Please join us on any Sunday at our 8:00 a.m. worship service and see for yourself, the great work we are doing here at HICCC.
